Lucky Duck - 36x24" Acrylic on Wrapped Canvas
Twelve years ago, I took a photo of the coolest duck at the Audubon Zoo and thought, “I should paint that someday.” Fast-forward to now: when my almost son-in-law (three days and counting!) told me his favorite duck is a wood duck, I knew it was finally time.

This has been the most challenging painting I've attempted to date, but it also pushed me to learn new techniques and grow as an artist. I couldn't think of a better reason to dust off my brushes.
